Creating Private Lessons

Private lessons give guardians flexible, personalized instruction. Unlike group lessons, private lessons are standalone and do not require a term.

When to use private lessons

Private lessons work well for:

• One-on-one coaching sessions
• Small custom groups (2–4 players)
• Adults seeking flexible scheduling
• Supplemental training outside term-based programs

Create a private lesson

Navigate to Lessons → Create Lesson and select Private as the lesson type. Private lessons skip the term selector since they are not bound to enrollment periods.

Configure schedule and availability

Set the days of week, start time, and end time when this private slot is available. Guardians book individual sessions from the available schedule. You can offer multiple time slots by creating separate private lesson entries.

Set pricing and capacity

Enter the session price for a single booking. Set max capacity to 1 for true one-on-one lessons, or increase it for semi-private groups.

Private lesson pricing is per session — guardians pay for each booking individually through Stripe Connect (if enabled) or manual payment collection on Starter plans.

Assign coach and court

Select the coach who delivers the session and assign a court or location. Ensure the coach's availability does not conflict with other lessons on the same court and time.

Configure age group and skill level

Set the appropriate age group and skill level. These fields control which lessons can accept make-up credits earned from this class. Saving the lesson later refreshes available credits earned from bookings on it when you change those settings.

Publish and manage bookings

Save the lesson. It appears on your public page under private lessons. Monitor bookings from the Bookings section. Private lesson bookings create one row per session with the specific date the guardian selected.

Coaches can view their upcoming private sessions from the coach dashboard.
